Join Aldeburgh Music Club for an evening showcasing some of Mozart’s greatest choral works.

The Solemn Vespers were written in Salzburg in 1780; far from solemn as their title implies, these psalm settings are full of glorious and exuberantly uplifting melodies. The Requiem in D minor was famously Mozart’s last work, composed – and unfinished – just before his early death in 1791. Tonight’s programme also includes the solo cantata, Exsultate, jubilate, written when the prodigy was just 16.
