The second event in our showcase weekend sees cellist Santiago Cańón Valencia balance two of Bach's towering suites for solo cello with a treasure trove of contemporary South American repertoire – featuring his own music alongside that of renowned Argentinian composer Osvaldo Golijov. The BBC Radio 3 New Generation Artists scheme supports some of the world’s most exciting young instrumentalists, singers and ensembles at the start of their international careers through performance and recording opportunities.
