A relaxing late-afternoon recital of chamber music, elegant and passionate by turns, performed by leading artists Elena Urioste and Tom Poster.

Elena and Tom begin with the beautiful Violin Sonata of Luise Adolpha Le Beau, 19th-century champion of equal opportunities for female musicians. Austrian-born Fritz Kreisler (the dedicatee of Elgar’s Violin Concerto) wrote a series of miniatures that offer glimpses of varying styles and colours. The concert concludes with the lyrical beauty of Strauss’ Violin Sonata, an expression of a newly dawned love.
