Extended Music Collective return with their “Illuminations” programme, including works by Alireza Farhang, Nina Šenk, Leilehua Lanzilotti, Anna Clyne, Benjamin Portzen and Marie Lévêque.

Extended Music Collective (EMC) is a chamber music ensemble exploring the diverse spectrum of new music.

EMC strives to incorporate new composers within an established contemporary concert experience. Setting aside the norm for what defines a performance, EMC seeks out collaborations wherein the musicians work closely alongside young composers as well as renowned names from all over the world. It is their mission to include and encourage diversity within the field, as they endeavour to bring socially relevant aspects within humanity to the stage.

These performers never shy away from an adventurous programme where flexible combinations are intertwined with solo performances, be it acoustically or accompanied by live electronics.
