To commemorate 250 years since the birth of John Constable, this Festival Walk – guided by art historian Dr John-Paul Stonard – visits the places that inspired this great landscape painter.

Dedham Vale, often referred to as Constable Country, is a living canvas of the English countryside immortalised by the great painter John Constable. Walking its gentle paths, you encounter the same meadows, winding River Stour, and quaint villages that inspired his masterpieces. The landscape remains remarkably unchanged, and this walk offers a chance to step into the scenes of his iconic works through art and history.
