
National Garden Scheme 2025: The Red House
Explore the five-acre gardens surrounding the former home of Britten and Pears including mixed herbaceous borders, kitchen garden, contemporary planting, and a new summer tropical border.
For 2 July the house and garden will be open, for 6 August, the garden only.
The Red House includes the collections left by the two men, including their Archive which holds an extraordinary wealth of material documenting their lives.
The garden offers a peaceful setting to this beautiful corner of Suffolk. For Museum opening times, see website. Wheelchair access, brick, concrete, gravel paths and grass. Some areas are uneven, may require effort to navigate. Wheelchair available upon request.
