Ana Silvera, Lydia Samuels and Tomer Damsky
Join us for an exciting Open Session as three composers – Ana Silvera, Lydia Samuels and Tomer Damsky – unveil the first fruits of a brand-new collaboration.
During their Britten Pears Arts Residency, the trio has embarked on a bold new collaboration, drawing on ancient texts and rare recordings from medieval Iberia. Their music reimagines the shared heritage of Sephardic, Arabic, and Ibero-Christian traditions, weaving a rich tapestry of sound that bridges centuries and cultures.
With special guests including Syrian oud virtuoso Nawras Altaky and members of the vocal ensemble HOWL, this Open Session offers a rare glimpse into a work-in-progress that bridges centuries and cultures.
