FOLK LIKE US
Join us for an unforgettable Open Session as British-Bolivian theatre artist and choreographer Jennifer Jackson shares the first glimpse of FOLK LIKE US – a bold new performance in the making.
Created in collaboration with composer Jasmin Kent Rodgman, this is a ritual of rhythm, awe, and togetherness in a fractured world.
Blending dance, live music, folklore, and spectacle, this work-in-progress, developed during a Britten Pears Arts residency, invites you into a world of visitations: masked dancers, ancestral echoes, and the pulse of a community in motion.
Blurring the boundary between performer, musician and spectator, this open rehearsal invites the community and audience to participate.
This is the first stage of an exciting new work being developed in partnership with the acclaimed Manchester Collective.
