A brand new multi-media, choral-theatre work from the exceptional SANSARA choir and artist collective Tangram.

Trailblazing artist collective Tangram is creating a new work for the brilliantly gifted SANSARA choir. Composers Alex Ho and Rockey Sun Keting collaborate with the renowned author Yilin Wang in a fascinating choral-theatre piece. Chronicle 时•录 traces the voices of six women poets across a millennium of Chinese history. Through war, exile, love, loss and displacement, their poems record not only personal emotion, but also the fragile continuity of culture and memory.

Chronicle 时•录 is a co-commission between SANSARA and Nederlands Kamerkoor, and has been made possible with support from Arts Council England, PRS Foundation, The Radcliffe Trust, The Leche Trust, Vaughan Williams Foundation, Cockayne Grants for the Arts, and Britten Pears Arts.
