The Cambridge Institute for Music Therapy Research, The Cambridge School of Creative Industries, and Britten Pears Arts are thrilled to be offering a professional development opportunity for performing musicians and music therapists who have an interest in working in health and care settings. This event focuses on collaborative practice and will enable participants to extend their skills, practice, and knowledge in the use of music to support health and wellbeing.

The day will be a mixture of experiential practice, theory of collaboration, small group work, experiential teaching, group and pair work. Focused on collaborative artistic practice, practitioners will be able to use new knowledge to inform their own practice as well as application in health and care settings, practitioner wellbeing and the integration of relevant theory and policy into their work.

Lunch and refreshments will be provided.

Places are limited so please book early.

I loved the warm-ups and music making that we did together, led by the course leaders. I really liked working in small groups and having time to chat through worries or concerns and being able to help each other in our work.
I leave with a renewed belief in the role of community music and music therapy in health and care settings; and I leave full of inspiration and new ideas to try in my future work!
