Gwyneth collected the original version of this song whilst in Mombasa, Kenya. There, the children she worked with made bicycles and this was a song they had created based around their pride in their work. As with a lot of Swahili, if there isn’t a word available, you make up a new one based on the sound. In this case, it is a song about bikes and you’ll hear lots of appropriate sounds to match!
