Catering Supervisor
JobsOverlooking the Alde estuary, Snape Maltings is situated close to the Suffolk coast. It is a popular visitor destination with independent shops, cafes, a restaurant, event venues and art galleries. The site is now largely owned by Britten Pears Arts, a Music & Arts based charity and all profits contribute towards our charitable work.
Our year-round catering venues include the very popular Malt Café and takeway, and our River View Café, bar and restaurant at Snape Maltings. We are also licensed to host weddings in our beautiful setting, which is also hired for private functions as well as large corporate events. Our core team is 35-strong, with more seasonal colleagues joining us for the peak summer season, many of whom return each year.
This role supports the catering management team as well as the front of house teams in all locations.
The role of supervisor would suit someone who has previously worked in a similar role, providing leadership and training to customer-facing teams, ensuring the delivery of a high-quality service and a consistently excellent customer experience. The role will lead by example. We offer training and development and the opportunity to work with a fantastic team.
We are looking for:
- Recent Front of House supervisor experience in a restaurant setting.
- Team management and training experience.
- High personal standards of behaviour and service
- Great customer service and interpersonal skills.
- Someone who is calm and friendly under pressure.
- Interest in learning and developing a career in hospitality.
- Enjoys being part of a team.
- Ability to work flexibly.
