Catering Team Leader (Seasonal)
JobsOverlooking the Alde estuary, Snape Maltings is situated close to the Suffolk coast. It is a popular visitor destination with independent shops, cafes, a restaurant, event venues and art galleries. The site is now largely owned by Britten Pears Arts, a Music & Arts based charity and all profits contribute towards our charitable work.
Our year-round catering venues include the very popular Malt Café and takeway, and our River View Café, bar and restaurant at Snape Maltings. We are also licensed to host weddings in our beautiful setting, which is also hired for private functions as well as large corporate events. Our core team is 35-strong, with more seasonal colleagues joining us for the peak summer season, many of whom return each year.
This role supports the catering management team as well as the front of house teams in all locations.
The role of team leader would suit someone with Catering Front of House experience and who is looking for their first step into a supervisory role. This role will lead by example. We offer training and development and the opportunity to work with a fantastic team.
Catering Team Leader Requirements:
- Recent Front of House experience.
- Great customer service and interpersonal skills.
- Keeps calm and friendly under pressure.
- Interested in learning and developing a career in hospitality.
- Enjoys being part of a team.
Catering Team Leader Responsibilities:
- Opening and closing Catering outlets with Front of House Team.
- Greet customers on arrival.
- Follow and encourage a 'Customer First' culture.
- Work with Front of House Team in taking orders and serving food and beverages.
- Guide and support Front of House Team to help improve performance.
- Identify training needs and feed back to Catering Supervisors.
- To be a positive role model to Front of House Team Members, leading by example.
- Follow stock and reporting procedures.
- Maintain hygiene, cleanliness and Food Safety procedures.
- Maintain a good knowledge of cross site Catering activities.
