Snape Maltings Trading Limited is the trading arm of Britten Pears Arts (BPA), providing essential income that allows us to fulfil our charitable purpose. BPA is a pioneering music, arts and heritage charity based on the Suffolk coast at two popular, historic visitor destinations: Snape Maltings and The Red House.

Situated on heritage site within an Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty, Snape Maltings is a unique retail destination which also includes our Visual Arts Programme, offering an exciting schedule of exhibitions and talks and at Snape Maltings. Visual Arts are programmed across the Sculpture Park, Dovecote Studio, Building 21, the Winch Gallery, Concert Hall Foyer, Hoffmann Foyer and at The Red House (Aldeburgh).

We are looking for a Seasonal Gallery Assistant to join us on a temporary basis to support the Visual Arts team during our peak summer period. You will be responsible for recording all relevant sales enquiries from inception to completion - including processing the transaction through the till. As well as providing excellent customer service, you will also be able to tell visitors about our on-site exhibitions and will ensure the security of artwork.

It is a part time role, with variable hours.

In particular, we are looking for someone who:

• Has a keen interest in visual art
• Has excellent customer service and communication skills
• Is confident with Excel and other Microsoft Office applications
• Has good attention to detail when carrying out administrative tasks
• Can communicate clearly and enthusiastically about art to all viewers
• Is available to work flexible hours, including weekends
