Presented here in an early stage of development, the new opera tentatively entitled Planctae will eventually take the form of a website on which the piece endlessly loops.

At the Festival of New, audiences had the opportunity to hear instrumental arrangements that will feature in this work performed by a woodwind trio – as well as discussion from composer Max Syed-Tollan regarding the conceptual underpinning of the opera, how the group’s recent residency at Snape built on this, and what the final outcome might look like.
