The charming coastal town of Aldeburgh has always been synonymous with the internationally renowned Aldeburgh Festival. That is why we are excited for Aldeburgh to host a vibrant ‘Festival Extra’ programme this June, offering an array of free and affordable events for all tastes and ages. This crucial expansion of the Festival’s community engagement is significantly bolstered by the Aldeburgh Club, a collective of local businesses providing invaluable support towards our Aldeburgh programming.

The Aldeburgh Club represents an important partnership between commerce and culture. These businesses, deeply embedded within the fabric of Aldeburgh, demonstrate a commitment not just to the arts, but to the continued vitality and accessibility of cultural experiences for residents and visitors alike.

We are so grateful to the range of Aldeburgh businesses whose contributions, whether financial or in-kind, directly enable the programming, logistics, and outreach necessary for Britten Pears Arts' Festival Extra programme to flourish.

We are excited to celebrate the finale of this programme with the ‘Big Day Out’ on Saturday 28 June – a day filled with predominantly free activities throughout Aldeburgh. From street performers on the Moot Hall Green, a folk stage at Fishers Gin and a ceilidh in the Jubilee Hall, to fascinating talks from local authors at the Red House and the Aldeburgh Bookshop and fun-filled family activities at the Pumphouse, there is something for everyone to get involved with.

We wish to extend our thanks to all the Aldeburgh residents and organisations helping to make this programme possible. With special thanks to the Aldeburgh Club:
