The Cambridge Institute for Music Therapy Research, The Cambridge School of Creative Industries, and Britten Pears Arts were delighted to offer a professional development opportunity for performing musicians and music therapists who have an interest in working in health and care settings. This event focused on collaborative practice and enabled participants to extend their skills, practice, and knowledge in the use of music to support health and wellbeing.
“It was truly engaging, very positive, uplifting... I loved the way we used the whole 5 senses, to communicate our feelings, and self-expression.Spark! Participant
The day was a mixture of experiential practice, theory of collaboration, small group work, experiential teaching, group and pair work. Focused on collaborative artistic practice, practitioners were able to use new knowledge to inform their own practice as well as application in health and care settings, practitioner wellbeing and the integration of relevant theory and policy into their work.
Thank you for this opportunity, it has been rich in practice, environment, and the community was over and above what I was expecting. Exceptional.Spark! participant

I'd also like to say how fantastic it was to access such a recharging and inspiring day and to feel so nurtured in every sense. It’s difficult to access meaningful CPD as a freelancer working independently.Spark! participant
