Dublin-born, Suffolk-based musician Jessie Grimes is a multifaceted artist with many different strands to her work, all connected by a central thread: creating and communicating joy, and fostering human connection.

As a presenter she’s worked with top organisations like Ireland’s National Symphony Orchestra, BBC Ten Pieces, BBC NOW, Ulster Orchestra, Britten Sinfonia and BBC Radio 3.

As a workshop leader and composer, she has relationships with brilliant musical organisations like Sinfonia Viva, City of London Sinfonia, London Sinfonietta, London Rhymes, Britten Pears Arts and the Royal Philharmonic Orchestra.

Jessie’s beloved engagement and communication work runs alongside a varied career as a clarinet player – anything from international chamber music festivals to recitals at London’s Purcell Room, to Midsummer Murders soundtracks to Aurora Orchestra’s Far Far Away series to being the principal clarinettist for the Wexford Festival Opera.

She is the Learning & Participation Artist in Residence for Dublin’s National Concert Hall 24-26 concert season, where she devises and presents 8 main stage family concerts per season and run co-creative workshops across the community.

Jessie equally loves swimming in the sea, planting seeds to watch them grow, meditating, performing improv comedy and hiking/foraging for wild mushrooms with her spouse, children’s author Brogen Murphy.
