Snape Bridge House is the largest property on the Snape Maltings site, boasting original features and a rich history. Originally built by Newson Garrett as a family home, it remains a welcoming space for gathering, celebrating, and bringing families and friends together.
The hall is a wonderfully large space offering plenty of room for coats, boots, shoes and prams.Â
There are two seating areas providing relaxation with comfortable sofas and arm chairs. The drawing room features a BlĂĽthner grand piano and an open fire, while the sitting room is furnished with more soft seating and another open fireplace. The conservatory offers another area to gather, with additional dining seating and soft seating leading into the garden.
There is a large kitchen with seating around a substantial table, a gas and electric range and a large fridge, as well as a wood burner making it an ideal space for cooking. The dining room, with its original panelling and ample seating for ten, and a hatch through to the kitchen, makes celebratory dinners a highlight of many guests’ stays and yet another open fire.
Communal entertainment includes a full-sized billiards table and a dartboard, complemented by historic features and stained glass windows throughout.
Sleeping arrangements are spread across the ground and first floors, offering flexibility for families and groups. Downstairs, there is a single bedroom and three twin rooms, one of which has an ensuite with a walk-in shower and WC. One of the other twins has access to a WC and bath with hand held shower. The first floor features a spacious main bedroom with a king size bed and garden views, an adjoining single bedroom both of which have access to a bathroom with WC and a hand held shower over the bath.Â
Snape Bridge House is a truly unique property, offering flexible hosting and dining areas, cosy and well-appointed bedrooms, a large garden, and a private driveway. A well behaved dog is very welcome to stay!

Reviews
“I hired the house for a family gathering for a special occasion, the house is so large and interesting it made the weekend more special. We had a grand dinner party, catered by a local private chef for which the dining room was ideal. The huge conservatory was warm and bright with its fantastic view of the beautiful garden and sculpture. The snooker room kept the boys entertained. So much to see and do in and around Snape, beautiful walks, birds, shops, cafes, concerts, beaches… ideal!”
“The location is magical, offering opportunities for exploring Snape Maltings and for walks in the countryside.”
“We all had a wonderful nights sleep before the busy day planned for the following day. The accommodation, facilities and welcome were excellent and this house being part of Snape Maltings’ industrial history was so interesting. We even managed a game of snooker on the full size table in the games room. What a treat! We'll be back for a longer stay.”
