Meet the Development team

Alison de Zoete
Campaigns Manager
I joined the Development team in February 2024 as Campaigns Manager, sharing the role with Stacey Campkin. I started my career working in Formula 1 racing and eventually, after several pivots, moved into the Arts at ENO and then the Barbican, where I was for 14 years. I moved with my family to Suffolk 3 years ago and I'm absolutely thrilled to now be part of Britten Pears Arts.

Cecily Harper
Development Manager
I started working for Britten Pears Arts as a Visitor Assistant at The Red House in 2022, before moving to the development team and progressing to my current role of Development Manager. In addition to building on our current portfolio of corporate supporters and project syndicates, I coordinate our annual series of supporter events, from drinks receptions to Digital Discussions. Working for BPA is particularly special not just for its exciting arts programmes, fascinating history and beautiful locations, but also for its opportunity to work in a bustling cultural centre, in the middle of the Suffolk countryside.

Emily Stubbs
Director of Development
I’ve been at Britten Pears Arts since November 2022 and lead the Development team on revenue and capital fundraising. I love the quality of programmes that BPA delivers and working as part of a team that really enjoys involving our generous supporters in our work. Despite having worked at Wigmore Hall, English National Opera and the Orchestra of the Age of Enlightenment, nothing quite beats coming out of Snape Maltings Concert Hall on a clear summer’s evening and letting the incredible landscape merge with the amazing music I’ve just heard. I hope you have a great Festival!

George Maude
Trusts & Foundations Manager
I manage Britten Pears Arts' relationships with our wonderful trust and foundation supporters, writing applications and keeping them up to date with all the work that’s happening here. I joined the team eighteen months ago and was pleased to move into the classical music world as it is a kindred field to my previous specialism in the ancient classics.

Jo Litt
Data Manager
I joined Britten Pears Arts in 2021 and work across the organisation to look after the customer database. Previously, I worked in classical theatre and have thoroughly enjoyed learning more about classical music. Outside of Britten Pears Arts and data management, I volunteer with Aldeburgh RNLI, so can be seen on the beach in yellow wellies when not at Snape!

Katie Turner
Development Operations Manager
I have been a part of Britten Pears Arts since November 2021. As the Development Operations Manager, I support and streamline our fundraising by managing the systems, processes, and policies behind our development strategy. I help keep internal operations running smoothly. I'm also the go-to contact for internal coordination.

Megan Ward
Memberships Manager
I am thrilled to have recently joined the Development Team as Memberships Manager. I started my fundraising career in higher education before taking a small hiatus to work as a researcher in animal behaviour and conservation in South Africa before pursuing my Masters in Evolutionary and Behavioural Ecology. Through a series of events, I found myself back in the fundraising world, this time in the charity sector. Before joining Britten Pears Arts, I worked in the development team at Suffolk Wildlife Trust. I am so excited to have made the transition to BPA!
