The Cuddigan Oliver Trust
The trust was set up by Anne Cuddigan in memory of her husband Michael. The Cuddigans were long term Aldeburgh residents who were passionate about music and great supporters of young composers and musicians. In 2024 it was renamed The Cuddigan Oliver Trust in memory of chair Sir Stephen Oliver, who had a distinguished career in the law, first at the tax bar and then, from 1991-2011, as a Judge. The Trust’s charitable objective is the funding of new vocal chamber music. It aims to expand its fundraising remit to support an increasing number of new compositions and to facilitate their performance through partnerships with top orchestras and music making organisations.

The Trust is supporting composers developing their skills on the Britten Pears Young Artist Programme.Â
