The Marchus Trust was established to encourage and support the arts, in particular education and advancement in both music and architecture. The Trust is interested In specific cultural projects, rather than supporting more general funding requirements. They sponsor or commission musical works and performances as well as the development of architectural projects and research.

We are delighted that they are supporting the commission of new piece for the Aldeburgh Festival in 2026, a violin concerto by Freya Waley-Cohen, written for her sister Tamsin.
