Mendelssohn’s passionate violin concerto is the centrepiece of this concert which also features Rachmaninoff’s glorious second symphony.

The Suffolk Youth Orchestra bring youthful energy to Summer at Snape in a performance which features Rachmaninoff’s sentimental yet powerful second symphony, a work that’s full of epic musical vistas and gorgeous heartfelt melodies. Hamish MacCunn’s romantic depiction of the Scottish landscape opens the evening.
